Notification under Section 49(4) of the Communications Act of a consultation by BABT on their proposal to grant an Approval of a Communications Provider's Total Metering & Billing System under Condition 11 of the General Conditions of Entitlement
1. There is a proposal to grant an Approval of a Communications Provider's Total Metering & Billing System under Condition 11 of the General Conditions of Entitlement.
2. The draft Approval has been issued by the British Approvals Board for Telecommunications (the "BABT") which is an Approval Body.
3. The draft Approval, together with a note as to its effect and the reasons for making the proposal, is posted on the BABT's web-site under references MET 0001, MET 0003 and MET 0015

5. Representations may be made by email or in writing to the BABT by 13th February 2004.
6. In accordance with section 50 of the Act, a copy of this Notification has been sent to the Secretary of State.
7. In this Notification-
"Act" means the Communications Act 2003;
"Approval" and "Approval Body" shall have the same meaning as in Condition 11 of the General Conditions of Entitlement;
"BABT" has the meaning given to it in paragraph 2 above;
"General Conditions of Entitlement" shall mean those conditions contained in a Notification under section 48(1) of the Act published on 22 July 2003; and
"Total Metering and Billing System" shall have the same meaning as in Condition 11 of the General Conditions of Entitlement.
