Notification of a proposal Under Section 49(4) of the Act – MIND Software (UK) Limited

18th August 2008

  1. There is a proposal to modify the Approval of a Communications Provider’s Total Metering & Billing System under Condition 11 of the General Conditions of Entitlement.
  2. The draft Approval License has been issued by the British Standards Institution (the “BSI”) which is an Approval Body.
  3. The draft Approval License, together with a note as to its effect and the reasons for making the proposal, is posted on the BSI’s web-site at http://www.bsi-global.com/en/ProductServices/About-Kitemark/Kitemark-for-services/Metering-and-Billing2/Regulatory-status in the link titled “BSI Notification Proposal” under the reference MIND Software (UK) Limited
  4. A copy of the draft Approval License titled “Draft Approval License NAME OF FILE is attached to this Ofcom website. The Approval Notice and Draft Approval License are available for download at the bottom of this page.
  5. Representations may be made by email or in writing to the BSI by 18th September 2008
  6. In accordance with section 50 of the Act, a copy of this Notification has been sent to the Secretary of State.
  7. In this Notification-

    Act” means the Communications Act 2003;

    Approval” and “Approval Body” shall have the same meaning as in Condition 11 of the General Conditions of Entitlement;

    BSI” has the meaning given to it in paragraph 2 above;

    General Conditions of Entitlement” shall mean those conditions contained in a Notification under section 48(1) of the Act published on 22 July 2003; and

    Total Metering and Billing System” shall have the same meaning as in Condition 11 of the General Conditions of Entitlement.
