Ofcom has accredited the Mobile Phones price comparison service, which offers information to help consumers choose the best handsets and tariffs for their needs.
Ofcom accreditation is only awarded to price comparison services which undergo a comprehensive audit to ensure the information they provide is thorough, clear and accurate.
As well as offering details of handsets and tariffs, Mobile Phones also publishes tips and advice for mobile customers, alongside reviews of new phones.
Lindsey Fussell, director of Ofcom’s consumer group, said: “Price comparison websites play a crucial role in helping people to make effective choices about their communications services.
“Our accreditation scheme gives consumers the confidence that the price comparison information on accredited websites is accessible, accurate, transparent and comprehensive.”
Mark White, director at UK Web Media, owner of Mobile Phones, added: “We are delighted to receive this blue-ribbon accreditation. We strive to offer our customers a simple, streamlined experience with honest, impartial advice, to help navigate a vast and ever-evolving market.
“Receiving Ofcom accreditation will give robust assurances to our customers that the service we are providing is first and foremost focused on their requirements.”
There are now nine price comparison services accredited by Ofcom. For more information, see our dedicated price comparison page.
