Mobile Phones, a website that helps people to find the right mobile deal for their needs, has been reaccredited by Ofcom as part of our price comparison service accreditation scheme.
Price comparison services can only obtain Ofcom accreditation after undergoing a thorough audit to make sure the information they provide is independent, clear and accurate.
Further audits take place 12 months after services are first accredited, and every 18 months after that. Mobile Phones was initially accredited by Ofcom in 2018.
The site offers details of handsets and tariffs, as well as publishing advice for mobile users, alongside reviews of new phones.
Lindsey Fussell, director of Ofcom’s consumer group, said: “Price comparison websites play a crucial role in helping people to make effective choices about their communications services.
“Our accreditation scheme gives consumers the confidence that the price comparison information on accredited websites is accessible, accurate, transparent and comprehensive.”
Mark White, director of telecoms at Comparison Technologies Ltd, owner of Mobile Phones, said: “We are very pleased to once again receive Ofcom accreditation.
“Our continued approach of aligning with Ofcom’s high standards has helped us to achieve a simple, streamlined experience, enriching the consumer experience and providing value to our customers.“
