Ofcom has re-accredited the Billmonitor price comparison service, which helps its users to find the best mobile deals for their needs.
Billmonitor has now been accredited by Ofcom for nine years. In order to receive Ofcom accreditation, price comparison services must pass a rigorous audit to ensure the information they provide is thorough, clear and easy to understand.
A re-accreditation audit takes place 12 months after services are first accredited, and every 18 months after that.
Lindsey Fussell, director of Ofcom's consumer group, said: “Ofcom’s accreditation for price comparison services means consumers can be confident that the information they’ve been given is accurate and transparent.
“These services provide vital help for consumers, providing details of the telecoms packages available to them and how much they cost. This enables them to make informed decisions based on the information they receive.”
Dr Stelios Koundouros, Billmonitor founder and product director, said: “Billmonitor is proud to earn re-accreditation from Ofcom for the ninth year in a row.
“It is testament to our determination to provide the highest quality price comparison and bill analysis services to consumers.”
Ofcom currently accredits eight price comparison services. For more information on the services we accredit, visit our dedicated price comparison page.
