Phil Flanagan has been appointed to Ofcom’s Advisory Committee for Northern Ireland. Phil is a former MLA for Fermanagh and South Tyrone, and also a former Deputy Chair of the Assembly’s Enterprise Committee. Outside of politics, he has worked in the telecoms and not-for-profit sectors and currently works in the manufacturing industry.
The Advisory Committee for Northern Ireland advises Ofcom about the interests and opinions, in relation to communications and postal matters, of people living in Northern Ireland. The National Advisory Committees were established under the terms of the Communications Act 2003.
Phil joins the Committee on a three-year term.
