Ofcom received a complaint from Telepay Ltd, a Personal Numbering Service Provider, about Vodafone's use of the 07002 numbering range for the provision of fixed line customer care services.

Following correspondence and discussions with Ofcom, Vodafone has comitted to removing the use of the 07002 number range as a route into fixed line customer care services by 5 July 2004.
Any possible breach will therefore cease by 5 July 2004 and, as a result, Ofcom has closed this case. However, in closing the case, Ofcom will monitor Vodafone's adherence to its compliance plan.

Ofcom has received a complaint from Telepay Ltd, a Personal Numbering Service Provider (PNSP), against Vodafone. It is alleged that Vodafone is misusing the number range 07002, which is allocated to Vodafone to operate personal numbering services, by using 07002 numbers to provide fixed line customer care services.

Ofcom is investigating this matter under the Communications Act 2003.
