Any changes to a format can only be made by following the correct procedure and with the appropriate permission from Ofcom.
The analogue licence held by Bauer Radio Limited for The Borders (Radio Borders) has had the music description in its Format simplified in line with our published policy from ‘a locally-oriented contemporary and chart music, news and information station for the Borders’ to ‘a locally-oriented mainstream popular music, news and information station for the Borders’.
Proposals to reduce coverage
During the last month we have published a consultation which looks at a proposal from talkSPORT to reduce the coverage of its AM national commercial radio licence. Further information, including the consultation in full, can be found on our website.
