Addition of Capital UK – A contemporary and chart music led service for under 40s

Additon of Union Jack – A music-intensive station playing a variety of pop/rock and classic rock of British origin for over-35s.

SDL National

Removal of Kiss - A contemporary and classic dance music station primarily for under 30s.  Identifiable specialist music features for at least 36 hours per week

Berkshire & North Hampshire, Cornwall, Plymouth

Addition of KCFM – A full service station for Kingston Upon Hull playing broad music with news and information. A simulcast of AL000315.


Removal of Escape - An experimental service featuring an ambient soundscape to convey the atmosphere of Cornwall, without speech or music.


Community Radio

Community Radio Fund – Round 2, 2016-17

The second round for funding applications to the Community Radio Fund in 2016-17 is open for applications from 19 October until 5pm on Wednesday 16 November 2016. The awarding Panel is due to meet on 17 January 2017 to consider the applications.

Grants can only be made to community radio licence holders, and for this round an applicant community radio station must be broadcasting the licensed service by the time the Panel meets in January 2017.

The latest application form and guidance notes are available on Ofcom’s website, together with statements detailing the outcome of previous Panel meetings.
