In-Band Talkback

09 February 2015

The range of frequencies from 470 - 790 MHz is used for broadcasting TV signals across the country and is commonly referred to as 'In-Band'. PMSE can assign frequencies in this range for PMSE as long as the operation does not interfere with TV reception.

In-band talkback is usually used at fixed site locations such as studios. Customers should contact Ofcom at the earliest possible stage for advice on frequency availability which can be restricted due to TV transmissions and other users.

Some channels in the 470 - 790 MHz range are currently being reviewed for other uses. Please see the 'Digital Dividend' section in the Wireless Microphones and Monitors section for up to date information.
