What do the numbers mean?
Each area has been ranked from 1 to 5 based on the percentage of premises with outdoor coverage from all operators. Data is also provided on the percentage of premises with no reliable signal from any operator.
The percentage of premises at which all operators have 3G coverage (outdoor reception).
1= 95% or more
2= 90% - less than 95%
3= 80% - less than 90%
4= 60% - less than 80%
5= less than 60%
The volume of data transferred across the mobile networks in March 2011 divided by the number of premises in the region.

The percentage of geographic area over which all operators have 3G coverage (outdoor reception).
