Graduate Scheme, apprenticeships and internships

Graduate Scheme

Ofcom works on a range of fast-moving, topical issues such as broadcasting on TV and radio, telecoms and how we communicate with each other and new wireless technologies. Our graduates play a key role in all of these areas. Join us, and you will get involved from the start.

You will embark on a series of intensive job placements - moving regularly between projects and departments to ensure that the knowledge and insight you are exposed to is as broad as possible. So one week you might be devising new policy directives; the next, monitoring content standards.

If you are interested, read on to find out more.

Applications for our 2016 Graduate Scheme are now open for all pathways. The application window will close in January 2016.

About the programme

On the 2016 scheme there is the opportunity to follow a Generalist, Finance, IT, Economist, Technologist or Spectrum Engineering pathway. Join us and you will have the satisfaction of knowing you have helped make a difference to the future of communications.

Those who join us embark on a series of intensive job placements across different business areas. Graduates move regularly between projects, sections and departments to ensure that the knowledge and insight they're exposed to is as broad as possible. So one week you might be involved with new policy directives; the next, monitoring television content standards. Based at our London office (Riverside House) for the duration of the scheme, there may also be opportunities to gain experience in other parts of Ofcom, including the national and regional offices.

Our minimum requirement is a 2.1 degree. Whatever your degree discipline, whatever your skills and whatever your interests, there is a wealth of challenge and stimulation on offer at Ofcom.
