If you use a radio system for your business then you will need a licence from Ofcom. Business radio users range from taxi companies and factories, to hospitals, care homes, industrial sites and transport operators.
We are making additional non-contiguous spectrum available in the UHF2 band (from 453 MHz to 466 MHz) for licences up to six months resulting from negotiations with the Emergency Services. Technically Assigned licences will be available until April 2019. There is no provision for Area Defined licences. The additional spectrum will be used to cater for simplex assignments primarily although requests for duplex assignments will be considered. If you require further information please contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
