Working to make media literacy everyone’s business
This delivery plan sets out the work of the Making Sense of Media (MSOM) programme over the coming 15 months. It also details our progress since we published our annual plan in October 2024.
The plan details how we will continue to support specific communities and cohorts to develop media literacy knowledge, skills, and behaviours, and work with online and broadcast platforms to encourage them to promote media literacy through their design and decisions.
It also sets out our commitment to integrate media literacy into the mainstream delivery of other organisations with deep reach into the communities they serve. This includes football clubs, local authorities in the nations, and a community of corporates who are developing plans to build critical engagement skills for their employees as well as wider communities.
Our approach will be underpinned by rigorous research and robust evaluation and by our pursuit to make media literacy’ everyone’s business.
The second half of the document sets out what we have delivered over the past 14 months, mapped against what we said we would achieve in the Making Sense of Media Annual Plan 2024/5. We are proud of what we have achieved.
