Scam calls, texts and messages

Scammers use calls, texts and other messages to try to steal money or personal information. They often pretend to be from a bank, delivery firm, government body or even Ofcom, and can make contact look genuine by faking phone numbers or sender names.

Ofcom works with phone companies, the Government and other agencies to block scams and take action against those responsible. This page helps you recognise scams, protect yourself and report them.
