Statement: Guidance for Channel 4 Corporation’s Statement of Commissioning Policy

In June 2025 we published a draft version of this Guidance and consulted on our proposals. We received 8 responses to this consultation. We have considered all of the information we received in these responses and are now publishing our final Guidance.

We expect that publication of C4C’s SoCP will provide further transparency for stakeholders, and we will review and report on the extent to which C4C has discharged its new duties at least every five years. We will also continue to assess C4C’s wider delivery of its remit and media content duties for example through our annual response to C4C’s Statement of Media Content Policy, our Public Service Media Reviews and our engagement with broadcasters and wider industry.
