Transparency: public stakeholder engagement notice

Published: 15 April 2026

What this is about

In July 2025, following consultation, we published our Final Transparency Guidance where we set out our approach to transparency reporting under the Online Safety Act 2023 (the ‘Act’) and how we will determine what information service providers should include in their transparency reports. We also committed to ongoing engagement with civil society organisations, researchers and people with relevant expertise during each transparency reporting cycle, including the development of transparency notices.

What stage we are at

We are currently developing our transparency notices and are engaging with civil society organisations, researchers and people with relevant expertise. However, we would be interested to hear from all those who wish to share their views.

What kind of input we are seeking

We are requesting views from civil society organisations and the public on the information they want service providers to publish. Please see Schedule 8 to the Act for the possible matters on which we may request information in transparency notices

Our next steps

We will use the views we receive to inform the development of our transparency notices. Following the publication of the Register of Categorised Services in the summer, we will begin the process of issuing draft notices to providers of categorised services. See our Transparency Guidance for more information on our draft notice process.
