Update 13 May 2022 – Comparing Customer Service

The Choosing the best broadband, mobile and landline provider (Comparing Customer Service) report will now be published on 18 May. This was included as a publication in May in error as it is not an official statistic but rather contains official statistics published in February 2022.

Note: The data for ‘Other (inc. FTTx)’ fixed broadband lines in Table 16: Summary of residential and small business broadband connections at end of quarter (000's) has been restated. This is to resolve an error which resulted in the double-counting of some fibre-to-the-cabinet lines and meant that the Total and ‘Other (inc. FTTx)’ broadband connections were overstated by c.230k (0.8% and 1.2% respectively). This has been corrected in the attached report, which shows the total number of residential and small business broadband connections to be 27.635 million at the end of Q3 2021.
