Accessibility statement for Ofcom web forms

This statement applies to the following forms starting with ofcomforms.secure.force.com:

  • Complain about mobile, home phone or internet services
  • Complain about TV, radio or on demand services
  • Complain about postal services
  • Complain about the BBC
  • Report interference
  • Report illegal broadcasting
  • Freedom of information
  • Spectrum Licensing Enquiries
  • Broadcast Licensing Enquiries

These forms are managed by Ofcom. We want as many people as possible to be able to use these forms. For example, that means you should be able to:

  • change colours, contrast levels and fonts
  • zoom in up to 200% without the text spilling off the screen
  • navigate most of the forms using just a keyboard
  • navigate most of the forms using speech recognition software
  • listen to most of the forms using a screen reader (including the most recent versions of JAWS, NVDA and VoiceOver)
  • Have a meaningful heading structure on most pages
  • Experience AA standards for 1.4.3 Contrast
  • Make a reasonable request for alternative formats, which Ofcom will consider

How accessible this website is

We know some parts of the forms are not fully accessible:

  • Date and time picker do not resize when the page is zoomed
  • Missing error message on ‘Complain about the BBC’ pages

  • Date and time picker do not resize when the page is zoomed.  This uses a third-party application; we’ve assessed the cost of fixing it and we believe that doing so now would be a disproportionate burden within the meaning of the accessibility regulations.
