The Scorecard is intended to document aspects of fixed and mobile broadband performance across other EU countries for the purpose of measuring and comparing the UK's relative performance. It was proposed by Broadband Delivery UK (BDUK), part of the Department of Culture, Media & Sport (DCMS), before being taken up by Ofcom.
Ofcom is working with the ASA to assess whether current advertising for the fixed broadband market provides fixed broadband decision-makers with information that is sufficiently clear to allow them to make informed choices and to avoid them being misled.
This update reports progress made with ADSL and Local Loop Unbundling (LLU). It is not a complete overview of the DSL market, but gives a snapshot of the current issues and upcoming developments. March 2004.
